My name is Deren Vural, and my undergraduate honours project is investigating the practical uses of argument technologies aimed at judging the “veracity” of sources in news articles, defined as the conformity or trustworthiness with the truth/facts, and the veracity of the authors use of said sources. I intend to investigate how people consume online media and how the new technology can be used to positively impact this. This will entail a prototype app and several tests focussed on how it could impact how people look at news articles online.
